I find Judy Watson's work to be absolutly amazing, inspiring and influencial to my own artist practice. Her works are filled with the spiritual, emotional, gentle and beckoning.

To me, the beauty of her work creates a wonderful and deep respect for the the Land and the importance that our country holds in Indigenous culture.

One thing that really is different about Watson's work is the fact that it has such a strong link to Indigenous culture and her heritage, however I do not immediatly jump to the assumation that she is indigenous. Somehow this gives me comfort, it gives me the impression that I am welcome into their strong values of the Land.

If we are welcomed into their culture so forgivingly, how come there is still discrimination? How come they are still impoverished people? This is a question that I do not know - or understand - the answer to...
