Watching this video (above) on Jason Wing, after seeing his exhibition 'The Other, Other' at Tandanya, was quite inspiring. Personally, I am heavily influenced by street art, Jason Wing is a brillant artist that uses stencil art at one of his processes.
Jason is part Chinese, part Aboriginal. He focus quite a bit on his identity, and his poilitical identity as well as enviromental and spiritual awareness.
I must comment, his work hasn't got that 'WOW' facor to it, however it is definatly a pretty picture with a strong concept.
His work in the art therapy industry is very inspiring, as I may be interested in that kind of work sometime in my artist career. It is something that I have a passion for as well.
This video (above) is a video taken when Wing was part of the Ozasia festival. It is a really good video in terms of technique demonstration and the way he likes to work.
